The earlier, the better:
EXITE quantifiably optimises system development through frontloading. |
 |
 |
EXITE stands for EXTESSY Inter Tool Exchange and is a high-performance and universal co-simulation platform. Individual software components and simulations can be interfaced, completed and tested across computer and tool boundaries. This “frontloading” through the modelling and simulation of controls and their environment ensures that the right systems are implemented at an early stage.
A number of development and simulation tools can fulfill this goal. However, they are often designed with a special purpose in mind. The cooperative and supplementary use offered by EXITE results in quantifiable added value.
Do you use different simulation tools for development or integrate loadable software components from different sources?
EXITE is based on a distributed, open and extendable architecture. Adapters for established tools are available “out of the box".
Would you like to significantly increase execution time for your complex simulations? Do you want to save money, time and hassle but not invest in special computer hardware?
With a simulation distributed via EXITE, models can be distributed to networked PCs. The computing capacity can be flexibly increased by adding PCs with special EXITE topology, preventing a bottleneck in inter-simulation communication.
Would you like to test models and software components together but keep your valuable expertise under wraps?
EXITE “encapsulates” only the simulation parts involved. This means that signals are exchanged is via CORBA and Ethernet. Thus simulations can be linked worldwide via the Internet. Simulations can also be performed with the MPI protocol for top performance applications.
Key features- Convenient integration and reuse of each tool interface using the specific tool adapter and the EXITE interface-builder
- Available interfaces for MATLAB®, Simulink®, Real-Time Workshop®; ASCET®, Dymola®, Saber®, Rhapsody® or ARTiSAN® Studio
- Management and coordination of co-simulations
- Automatic or manual start-up of simulation participants and models
- Flexible interfacing of various features: model, code hardware
- Software development Kit (C, C++, JAVA) for embedding source code
- API (C, C++, JAVA) for interface to develop adapters to individual tools
- Inter-operable via CORBA and MPI
- EXITE HiPer for high performance and faster simulation: synchronization in 150 µs using MPI & Ethernet and in 30µs using MPI & Myrinet
You develop your applications; EXITE takes care of the synchronization and communication. By distributing their simulations over several standard PCs our customers were able to reduce their simulation times by 90%. Try it out for yourself.
